We all remember Blue's Clue's Steve and the little hole he left in our hearts when he passed the baton to Joe... and it happened over 19 YEARS ago (oh god, we're old).
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show, Steve returned!
Seriously, get your tissues.
Actor Steve Burns dons the iconic outfit — the green stripes! — and talks to us about the past and everything we've all done to get here.
He reminisces about his last episode in which he "left for college" and acknowledges that it may have felt pretty abrupt to us.
And he chats with us about how it's been a really long time and that we probably have ADULT things — jobs! families! loans. God, so many loans.
Steve gets pretty real with us — it has been hard, Steve. Thank you for acknowledging it.
And then, and this is the real tear-jerker, he says thank you to us for being with him all those years ago and says that the help we offered him helps him still. TO THIS DAY. Oh, Steve!
The responses are... well. What we just went through.
One Twitter user wrote, "Oh... my god" and another replied, "not crying at my desk, not crying at my desk, not crying at my desk."
And then we got the real winner: "Can Steve come back and compassionately tell me how to get a Clue as an adult. Like how to qualify for a mortgage and meal prep?" Thank you @maniacdrapto for asking what we all wanted to ask.
We finally get a little reassurance from Steve:
Thank you, friend. Yes, I DO look great. And it was nice hearing from you again. I know after the last 18 months, we all needed a pick me up.
