People magazine recently crowned Paul Rudd as "Sexiest Man Alive," which is a) entirely correct and b) a delight. Rudd took it in very Rudd fashion, joking about the honor and chatting with Stephen Colbert about the distinction.

But you know what else happened? The New York Post ran an opinion piece by Nicki Gostin asserting that Paul Rudd is not sexy.

Nicki Gostin, how DARE you.

She argues that you have to be a little "bad" to be truly sexy (RIP my dreams of being sexy, I guess) and Rudd has been happily married for almost 20 years and gives off "adorable cool dad" vibes far more than sexy. So she just... doesn't think he's sexy.

Please hold me, my heart just broke. How can you—how COULD you, Nicki!?

I'm not alone in my total outrage.

Rudd has been on a publicity tour to promote Ghostbusters Afterlife and The Shrink Next Door.

While visiting Colbert, Rudd chatted about the insult from the Post. He quipped: "Hey, that might be the first thing I ever read in The New York Post that I agree with. That's not fake news."

And now he's even MORE dreamy...

So basically the entire Internet and I are in agreement and the NY Post can go suck it. Kindness IS sexy, thankyouverymuch. And making someone laugh? The sexiest thing of all!

Check out the whole interview here. It's guaranteed to make you smile warmly.

Ugh, I just love him.

Ryan Reynolds, fellow "Sexiest Man Alive," recommended that Rudd not waste his newfound status on false humility. He joked that Rudd should "run like the wind."
