We know there are two sides to every story. It’s not uncommon for movie-goers to walk away from a film with the thought that a villain was just misunderstood. There are even times fans walk away on with total support for the bad guy and their actions. However, that wasn’t the case for Killmonger. And Jordan’s take has left fans confused since it’s clear that Killmonger’s actions were fueled by revenge. His need for revenge outweighed his love for Wakandans and their descendants. So while he may have wanted to empower his people, his actions weren't justifiable.

Still, Jordan isn’t convinced his character is was in the wrong. According to the actor, Killmonger had good intentions but went about things in a different way.

"No… he cared about his people just as much as T'Challa. He just had a different way of going about getting it done,” he said.

After seeing Jordan's comments, fans took to social media to share their thoughts. Of course, most fans completely disagreed with the actor and they didn't shy away from saying it.

"It’s ok to understand Killmonger’s POV or be sympathetic to the plight of his family abandoning him. But the dude killed his girlfriend for a tactical advantage and took pleasure in intimidating & physically abusing women. His name is literally 'Killmonger.' He’s a villain," one person tweeted.

Another fan pointed out that the word "genocide" must mean something entirely different to Jordan.

Based on the tweets, Jordan might be alone in his belief on this one.
