Keanu Reeves is one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood, in some of the most famous movies and franchises of all time. Does that make him a movie expert, through sheer osmosis? Sure, why not! Even if he has terrible taste, I'm genuinely curious what Mr. Reeves likes. Most of us would probably be curious what he curls up on the couch to watch, what his comfort film is, what he likes to show new girlfriends. And he very generously shared these details in an interview with Esquire.
The list apparently began when Reeve's Matrix co-star Carrie-Ann Moss asked him for some movies she could watch with her sons. He took the request very seriously and regularly updated the listing for her and her kids.
Moss said this was very classic Reeves.
"His work ethic is unlike anyone I’ve ever met, and I’ve seen it up close: He trains harder, works harder, cares more, always asks more and more questions to understand the depth of what we’re doing. And while he was doing all of that for himself, he always had an eye out for me," she explained. "Like when I asked him for those movies, it seems like a little thing, but he’s so busy, he’s exhausted, and took the time to write this very, very thoughtful list."
