We have had so much in the way of Marvel goodies this year. WandaVision, Loki, Shang-Chi...
And it's not stopping or slowing down: Marvel's Eternals is landing in theaters in November.

Oscar-winning Chloe Zhao is directing the film, which will follow the Eternals who have lived on earth for over 7,000 years with the task to protect humans from the Deviants.

In the comics, the Eternals call Earth their home not long after being created. Thanos is a cousin of both the Eternals and Deviants, which ... you know.
The new film starts when the Eternals must come together to stop a new threat.

The cast is wild. Look at this list: Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Brian Tyree Henry, Kit Harington, Lauren Ridloff, Lia McHugh, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee. AND MORE.
So the big question was where the F were the Eternals when the Avengers were fighting Thanos?

Oh ho, so funny you should ask:
Sersei, played by Gemma Chan, explains that the Eternals do not interfere UNLESS the Deviants are involved.

So who told them that? The Celestials, which created both the Eternals and the Deviants.

Salma Hayek's Ajak Eternal explains that when the Hulk snapped half the population back, he "provided the necessary energy for the Emergence to begin."

It's not clear what the Emergence is, but it seems to be an apocalyptic event that brings the Eternals, Deviants, and Celestials into conflict. Hoo boy.
