The Cleveland Haunt Club welcomes both amateur and professional “haunters,” as well as general Halloween enthusiasts. It exists to provide a year-round “outlet” for haunting enthusiasts to share experiences, tips, updates, anecdotes, information, and inspiration about their favored pastime. Simply put, if you’re a spooky geek in the Buckeye State, the Cleveland Haunt Club might be your jam.
And without the Cleveland Haunt Club, we might never have learned the name Alan Jay Perkins.
Mr. Perkins, an Ohio resident, has outdone Halloween decorators the world over this year.
In a group of “haunting enthusiasts” who love constructing twelve-foot skeletons as part of their front yard décor, Mr. Perkins has taken it above and beyond—creating a gargantuan skeleton that cannot be contained even by his entire domicile.
Per Alan's own updates, there's more to come!
Before the pandemic, this would have seemed totally bonkers. And maybe it still does. But after two years of isolation and uncertainty, people are a little more receptive to elements of the festive.
Twitter was happy to celebrate Alan Perkins’ artistry, his weirdness, and his über-nerdy love of Halloween.
