There has been a lot of talk on the internet about sex scenes in movies and on TV that have no purpose except to be sexy. Sexy sex scenes are a big draw of movies and TV so I kind of understand why they're there even if they have nothing to do with the plot. Things only get messy when showrunners and directors use sexual assault as a way to motivate the protagonist to get super angry, but that is not the same as a lovemaking scene. Obviously.
With all the debate, it seems some people are wondering what is or is not okay when it comes to sex scenes. Redditor u/PretendSpace wanted to know:
"What movie had a sex scene actually important to the plot?"
