About two years ago Evangeline Lilly, formerly of Lost fame, revealed that she would not self-quarantine and set off an onslaught of fury with the notion. Now she's back and apparently proud of her attendance at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s idiotic anti-vaccination mandate march this weekend in the nation's capitol.
At that march, RFK Jr. called the mandates “a coup d’etat to democracy” and equated the vaccination passports with slavery. He also managed to work in Hitler and Anne Frank.
Lilly revealed via Instagram that she attended the rally to “support bodily sovereignty.”
“I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of: violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, starvation, loss of education. alienation from loved ones, ex-communication from society, under any threat whatsoever,” she wrote in her caption.
The photo showed a member of the march with a wildly confusing sign that read "Vaxxed Democrat For Medical Freedom".
“I was pro-choice before COVID and I am still pro-choice today,” Lilly also noted before tagging her IG post with #bodilyautonomy, #bodilysovereignty, #defeatthemandatesdc, and so forth.
When publications like Rolling Stone reached out to Lilly's representatives for comment, the reps did not respond. Lilly's vaccination status is technically unknown but she did spend the last half of 2021 filming Ant-Man and the Wasp and Disney mandates vaccinations of all productions as of October. The mandate came as a return-to-work agreement between studios and unions.
In March of 2020, Lilly revealed on social media that she would not engage in "Corona House Arrest" — self quarantine — during the first wave. The actress also implied that the pandemic was entirely fake. She later apologized for these lies.
“When I wrote that post 10 days ago, I thought I was infusing calm into the hysteria. I can see now that I was projecting my own fears into an already fearful and traumatic situation,” she admitted.
Seems like a pretty pale apology when you consider that she joined in this stupid march over the past weekend.
The internet has been swift with its response to Lilly's admission.
