You know you want to see Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm back in a Jurassic Park movie.
I could go on and on about how Jurassic Park (the original) is one of the best movies of all time. It stands up to repeated watchings, it's endlessly entertaining, it's gorgeous, it's magical. And a huge part of that magic is and always has been the three leads.
They're back in the final chapter of the Jurassic World trilogy, which has seen COVID-related delays but seems to be back on track.
The trilogy's stars, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, have already been seen in their characters in some leaked images from Dominion, but any footage that's come out has really only revealed the dinosaurs.
Now we get a full length trailer with not just dinosaurs, but also actors. And not just any actors at that! Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern make their appearances as Malcolm, Grant, and Sattler respectively.
The film picks up a few years after 2018's Fallen Kingdom and dinosaurs now freely wander around with people. Seems safe, right?
The return of the original stars has been such a huge topic online, it's smart that the trailer gave them right to us. They all factor in the action, which means we can reasonably expect them to play a decent role in the final film. It's so exciting to see them all standing together in the last shot of the trailer.
We also see a lot of "Dinos in the world."
We get a European city overrun by the dinosaurs. As Malcolm warns, it will be our job to make sure dinosaurs don't lead to our own extinction—because humans aren't the dominant players anymore.
Jurassic World: Dominion opens this summer in theaters.
Definitely going to be worth the long wait!
