valter skardsgard

Valter Skarsgård, 26, has a vast repertoire of movies and TV shows in his portfolio, though many wouldn’t recognize his name as he works mostly in Sweden, where the Skarsgård family is from.

Valter is the youngest of a large family of actors, and although his name isn’t as well-known, his father and brothers most certainly are.

His father, Stellan Skarsgård, is best known for his roles in Hollywood films such as Mamma Mia, Dune, and several of the MCU film franchise, as well as the critically-acclaimed HBO mini-series Chernobyl.

Valter’s older brothers are also well-known in Hollywood. The eldest of the four brothers, 45-year-old Alexander Skarsgård made his name acting as the vampire Eric Northman in HBO’s True Blood and has won an Emmy for his performance in Big Little Lies

Second-oldest Gustaf, 41, started off his career in Sweden but has appeared as a regular in the series Vikings from the History Channel, as well as acting in Westworld and, most recently, acted in the role of Merlin in Cursed on Netflix.

Lastly, 31-year-old Bill, who has been working in the film industry for well over 20 years, is best recognized as the clown Pennywise in the 2017 and 2019 adaptations of Stephen King’s classic horror novel It.

Valter doesn’t seem to mind being the least-recognized Skarsgård, and in fact, enjoys teasing and mocking his better-known family members on Twitter.

A recent tweet from Film Updates shared a quote from Alexander that said that if one Skarsgård wasn't available, there were plenty of others to choose from.

“If you need a Skarsgård for a movie and one of us isn’t available, it’s like, ‘How about this one?’” Alexander Skarsgård said in the interview.

The image that accompanied the tweet, which included him but not his famous father, was so funny to Valter that he quote-retweeted it to share his amusement with his followers.

The young Swedish actor said, “It’s hilarious that I’m here but not dad.” He followed up with memes and was surprised to find that his posts roasting his family were going viral.

People began to take sides between the brothers and father or ask him to say hi, and Valter wasn’t having anything of it.

His self-effacing and snarky humor is endearing, and fans new and old are eating it up, while others question him saying he’s “not famous.”

The most amusing thing to come out of this whole thing is this bomb Valter dropped on the Twitter-verse.
