Foster/Portman hasn’t appeared in an MCU flick since Thor: The Dark World. We’ll also get more of Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie (now King Valkyrie, who made her first appearance in Ragnarok. Avengers: Endgame ended by leaving Thor with the Guardians of the Galaxy, who we’ll also see in the new film.

The teaser also revealed Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, a pair of space goats that pull Thor through the Nine Realms.

And if you're a bit eagle-eyed, you may notice that Thor potentially enters the afterlife.

No other property in the MCU has received four movies, ergo Love and Thunder is a bit of an anomaly for Marvel. But let's check out that little moment people are losing their minds over...

We can see Thor meditating under a big tree; he opens his eyes, looks at the sky, and takes a breath.

But look closely: both his eyes are blue, which means he doesn't have the orange replacement eye he was given in Avengers: Infinity War.

He also seems to be totally at peace, which isn't something we've seen much of with the character. Based on those two details, people online are starting to wonder if Thor is, in fact, in Valhalla.

Valhalla is basically the Nordic version of heaven, where Asgards warriors live their afterlife. We see over and over that Thor has been his own enemy, but perhaps he's finally able to relax once reaching Valhalla.

If it IS Valhalla, then that big tree we saw is likely Yggdrasil, the Norse Tree of Life. We also know that Marvel has historically included last shots of films in their trailers — looking at you, Infinity War.

The fourth Thor movie stars Hemsworth as Thor, the God of Thunder, and re-partners him with Thor: Ragnarok director Take Waititi. We also get a bunch of other Marvel characters back in the fold, including Natalie Portman as Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor. It opens July 8th.
