The final trailer for No Time to Die teased a villainous plotline for Daniel Craig's last performance as James Bond.

MGM

No Time to Die starts five years after Spectre, in which Christoph Waltz's Blofeld was captured and Bond has left MI6. He is pulled back into service by Jeffrey Wright's Feliz Leiter, CIA field officer, and the pair head out to look for a missing scientist. Bond discovers an evil mastermind planning a destructive event that will cause the death of millions in the process.

Craig has been hesitant to return to Bond after he finished Spectre, but did sign up for his last film as 007, No Time to Die. We'll also see the return of Waltz, Wright, Ben Whisaw, Naomi Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinner, and Lea Seydoux as Bond's love interest Madeleine Swann. Cary Joji Fukunaga signed onto the film to rewrite and direct and after many COVID delays, the movie is just about a month away from hitting theaters.

The James Bond YouTube channel shared the final trailer, which gave us some insight and motives of Malek's villain Lyutsifer Safin, and teased his connections to Bond's love interest, Madeleine Swann.

But the video was rapidly pulled off the channel and social media accounts. And then put back up! So you can watch it right here:

The entire thing was a little weird — the up and down again and then back up. The trailer didn't really have any spoilers and didn't give us a ton of new footage... plus it's just about a month out from the film's release.

The trailer does state, "nothing can prepare you for the epic conclusion," which is likely a reference to Craig's departure from the franchise (the trailer features footage from previous Bond films showing Craig's arc as the character). Fukunaga has stated that the film will feature "Bond will return" at the end of the credits, a franchise tradition.
