Tourists on a celebrity tour bus are the exact target audience for a surprise The Rock visit, and their reaction to seeing their hero did not disappoint. On his Instagram, Dwayne Johnson shared a clip of himself driving around his car and spotting a tour bus. This is apparently pretty common in his neighborhood.
"Alright this is kinda funny, but there's a tour bus here that always tours through my neighborhood," he says in the clip.
He then pulls up to the bus and yells out, "Hey, you guys know where I can find The Rock?"
The reaction is about what you'd expect: joyful yelling and immediate cameras up.
In the caption for his post, The Rock claimed this was something he does on the regular.
"Love pullin’ up in my pick up truck beside all these tour buses that tour my neighborhood and surprising the heck outta people!!!" he wrote. "One of the cool parts of fame & my job ~ makin’ a few folks happy."
I think there are definitely lots of more cool parts of fame and his job, but this is pretty cute:
As they cheer, he asks, "How're you guys doin'?"
He paused to let them get a pic so no one would fall out of the tour bus and under the wheels in their desperation.
"I'll wait, don't worry," he says, and eventually heads off to stop blocking traffic. "You guys have a good trip. Alright, thank you. I love you too.".
He then tells viewers at home, "That was fun. A good way to start off my Saturday."
Getting cheered in the street does seem like a great way to start a Saturday!
