A fan created a mashup of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer by splicing in footage of the 1990s Spider-Man animated series and it, naturally, went viral on social media.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has exploded onto the internet; it blew past the previous record for most trailer views (held by Avengers: Endgame since 2018) AND it's been mentioned online more in just half a day than Endgame was mentioned in a full 24 hours. The enthusiasm for just the trailer is absolutely wild.
So of course, the internet has bequeathed us some fan-made goodies — specifically a trailer created by using footage from the 1990s animated Spider-Man series.

Brendan Borrow of 100Bombs Studios paired the No Way Home trailer with the cartoon series that was on the air from 1994-1998. That series starred Christopher Daniel Barnes as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Check it out below:
Borrow used the season 3 episode "The Sins of the Fathers, Chapter I: Doctor Strange" for much of the trailer. Doctor Strange was voiced by John Vernon (who is best known as the Dean in National Lampoon's Animal House). Other episodes used in the trailer included an early version of the Spider-Verse "Spider-Wars Chapter II: Farewell, Spider-Man" and the series finale of the cartoon.
Peter Parker's girlfriend in the '90s cartoon is still MJ, but in this version she is Michelle Jones instead of Mary Jane Watson. The original MJ had to, therefore, replace "Michelle" for the mashup. Additionally, Harry Osborn from the cartoon stood in for Peter's pal Ned in the films.

Perhaps not TOO surprisingly, the mashup has become Borrow's most viral YouTube video. Previously, 100Bombs had a huge hit with a mashup of Avengers: Endgame by using Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon series. Check that out here:
