"Explain a film plot badly" is a fun game that pops up regularly on Twitter, and it's funny pretty much every time. The way the game works is that players take a popular movie and then describe it in a way that kind of points out the reality of the whole story, when you really think about it. Usually, the description will either boil things down in an incredibly simplistic way, or it will describe what the protagonists do in such a way that it seems insane this story was ever turned into a movie.
It seems like people wouldn't want to ruin their favorite movies, but these ones actually really work for me. If you can't laugh at the stuff you love, what can you laugh at? Probably some other much worse movies, but these are still some of the best of the best examples:
1. Hunger Games
2. Wall-E
3. Return of the Jedi
4. Shrek
5. Harry Potter
6. The Revenant
7. Twilight
8. Fast and the Furious
9. Mulan
10. The Lion King
