Are you ready for the world's most sexist friggin' question you can ask a professional woman? The very idea that in order to do a good job, or in order to get the job in the first place, there must be feelings springing up between lawyer and client is so offensive I want to scream.
But here we are, thanks internet rumors!
There is absolutely ZERO indication that Camille Vasquez, Depp's lawyer, is in a relationship with the actor. None.
But speculation about their relationship has wandered the traverses of online media and fans have pounced on images of her hugging and joking with Depp.
Guess what, friend? Footage of Depp joking with Benjamin Chew hasn't received this misogynistic, sexist speculation!
A video taken outside the courthouse on Wednesday showed Vasquez being asked to comment on her relationship with Depp.
TMZ then published the video (WHY).
"The people want to know: Are you dating Johnny Depp?" the reporter, presumedly from Splash News, asks. "It's all over the internet. Can you set the record straight: Yes or no?"
Vasquez laughs and gives no answer.
Depp is suing his ex, Amber Heard, over accusations that Depp abused her.
Heard first made allegations of abuse in 2016 when she filed for divorce and accused Depp of abusing her during the marriage. The pair eventually agreed to an expensive settlement with clauses meant to protect both Heard and Depp after the breakup, Heard continued to speak.
The trial is being live-streamed to a strangely entranced audience online and will conclude on May 27th.
