Daredevil is apparently returning to the small screen in an MCU adaptation coming to Disney+.
According to a report from Variety, the duo Matt Corman and Chris Ord will be writing and executive producing the series.
The pair are the driving force behind shows such as The Brave and Containment, and while this news appears to be true, neither Marvel Studios nor the pair’s representatives have confirmed the story.
Given that Charlie Cox made an appearance in the recent Spider-Man: No Way Home, it is very likely that he will return to the role of Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil.
There have been rumors swirling around his official entrance to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2021. The Netflix series he starred in was considered outside of the canon of the MCU.
Other rumors include Murdock’s potential appearance in the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which would definitely make sense given that both characters are lawyers by day and crime fighters by night. The first trailer for She-Hulk dropped just in the past couple of days, and while there is no glimpse of Daredevil to be seen, that doesn’t mean that he won’t play a role in the show, minor or otherwise.
Rumors of a Disney+ reboot first came about in March of this year due to a production listing, but nothing had been confirmed.
Now, with this scoop from Variety, it appears that those rumors may have some footing. There are so many rumors around the Man Without Fear and his future in the MCU that it seems likely that he should make an appearance one way or another in the very near future.
In April, rumors swirled of the Daredevil making an appearance on Echo, due to the character’s connection to Maya Lopez. Kingpin also appear on the show, given that Vincent D'Onofrio’s Kingpin was recently on Hawkeye, but none of these rumors have been confirmed.
Only time will tell, but Marvel Studios will have to fess up eventually.
